I was perusing Instagram when this One Room Challenge logo popped up in my feed. I was immediately curious about it and had to learn more because my love of decorating and challenges goes hand-in-hand. Did you see my last designer’s showcase challenge?

As I began to read, I noticed there was an option to join and link-in with other designers. And, so my new challenge begins! I have six weeks to complete a room, and I must update my readers weekly with my progress. I needed this motivation as we are in the middle of adding a bathroom to this guest bedroom, which is where we will be living for several months until our master bedroom is finished.

So, below are photos of my sad guest bedroom…. no wonder we don’t have company anymore! 😉

My Goals for this Room

• Add patterns
• Mix in pops of color
• Incorporate great furniture
• Make it inviting, attractive and interesting

I want to push myself out of my comfort zone a little by attempting to mix different prints in bedding, pillows, curtains, rugs, or wherever I can. My inspiration…

Things I Need

A headboard, rug, new side tables, dresser, curtains, bedding, artwork, and if I can sweet talk my husband into it, a new light (and lose the fan). But, since we are going to have to make this our temporary master, I doubt that will happen since he loves fans… ugh!!
