Creating a glam foyer

Morning friends! I hope y’all had an amazing weekend! Ours was filled with friends and family galore. The weather was absolutely amazing and I hate that it’s over already. Especially since this week I have a ton of work, I’m attending the Southern C and I have a wedding on Saturday. I’m going to say it’s a safe bet that this week will go by in a blink of an eye!

I was staring at my foyer the other day and thinking how I would change it. I could redo a room in our house every 6 months if it wouldn’t get me a divorce. So, since I would like to stay married, I enjoy working on other peoples homes. A foyer is what greets guests and sets the tone for the rest of the home. I want to share with you some tips, tricks and items that I would use in creating what I call a glam entry.

First, the most important piece is the table. That piece is what starts the entire process. This is essentially the anchor of the foyer.

These are a few of my go to tables at different price ranges.

Next, you need to find lighting. You can do a pair or single light. If you do a pair that limits decor items, which is fine. If you do a single lamp there’s more room for fun accessories. To make that decision you need to gauge how dark or light the space is. These are some lamps that I feel have that glam look.

OK, now we need the final and last main piece. The focal piece above the table next to or in between the two lamps. I love mirrors because they reflect light.

Then here comes the fun part, accessorizing! I love getting smaller pieces of art and leaning them up against the wall or mirror.

And of course finally the top of the table. I start off with a few coffee table books. Then I peruse thrift stores, homegoods, Target, TJ Maxx and online for the right accessories.

Move things around & change things out until you get the look you want.

If your space allows, create a fun feature wall too. Whether you paint it a different color from the rest, add stripes or use wall decals to accomplish what you want.

Here are some inspirations that have helped me in getting started on creating a fabulous foyer.

Aren’t these fabulous! Happy decorating friends!
