The Dalton Project Reveal: Foyer and Dining Room
Y’all I’m SO excited to finally be posting this project! I was asked by this couple, who are friends of mine, if I would help with design choices on their home. I was thrilled to be a part of new construction project. It means I could help with floors, wall colors, details…everything!!! These clients were amazing because they put a lot of faith in me and allowed me to let my imagination run wild.
So, without further delay let’s take a look!
One of my favorite design choices in this home was hands down the glass railing.
Looking up the detail of the woodwork is stunning and the contrast of the stained wood really makes a statement.
As you enter the foyer under the stairs is an open space. We added a quatrefoil mirror and quatrefoil table…we may change it, but for now this will work.
To the right of the foyer is their formal dining room. We added shiplap to the main wall to add some character. Added a beautiful chandelier and accessories.
This was such a fun project to push the envelope. I cannot wait to share more. Next post will be the kitchen, living room and powder room.
Thanks y’all for dropping in and I hope you liked it!

That dining room is stunning! Do you know where their table is from? And did you all paint the shiplap or buy it that color? It’s absolutely beautiful !
Krystine
Thank you Brittany! It’s from a store called Nadeau. We painted the shiplap gray.

I really love sculpted rugs but I’m not sure it works with that dining room chair leg. Do they have a problem sliding their chairs up to the table? I’d keep the rug for sure, maybe put it in another room, because the chair legs match the buffet so well.
Krystine
No problems so far luckily!
Karyn
Love the room. Can you tell me where you got the rug??
Krystine
The rug was found on houzz
