One Room Challenge- The Reveal
I swear y’all the One Room Challenge Reveal gods were against me. Between the youngest having a stomach bug, the migraine that fought me all day, the husband traveling, the last minute being so last minute & the lack of sunshine (40 minutes after I began writing, the sun came up & I snagged my camera & re-did the photos) for my pics I am unsure how I got here. But, I made it, phew!
If you’re just seeing this, you can look at back here.
My goal in the end…create a bright, comfortable room, that my youngest can grow into and enjoy for years to come.
Without further adieu, here’s my youngests bedroom!
I was and am still so happy about this dresser. A great find at a local consignment store.
This tortoise shell is amazing! I found it at one of my favorite stores in town Lyndon Leigh, the sister store of Shop Candelabra.
Total panic and last minute shopping at Hobby Lobby allowed me to score some serious gold goodness like these animals.
The duvet cover was an ikea find, the yellow cable knit blanket Homegoods and the quilt Target.
The gray Euro pillows were another Target score and the lumbar pillow was a local find.
These scrabble letters make me so happy! They bring a little bit of rustic and boyness to this room.
I love the side tables too. The white one is from a local store called Charleston Revisions and the small gold table is Target.
Isn’t it just lovely? It has a match but I don’t need it. I’m trying to sweet talk my friend Laurie into breaking it up. Does anyone want to buy the other one? ๐
This little table from target is perfect for a small space.
Another important item for the room was a desk. Channing is always at Coopers desk in his bedroom so I felt it was needed for him to have his own space. The bench, desk and suitcase are from Target. The elephant is from Lyndon Leigh.
I just had to have this Charleston print.
A couple of other items I needed was a book shelf, still looking for that. A nice spot for him to sit and a chalk board.
The colors in this pouf are a perfect match, another Target score!
The hook is from Lyndon Leigh and it’s such a fun piece for his room.
Oh and of course I cannot forget the curtains. Again, wanted fun, not too serious and kinda what I would call a childrens print without being too juvenile.
Finally, the bed was supposed to be white. However, it had so many cracks in it that it would have cost a fortune to fix. The solution to not show all the cracks was to go a dark color. I actually like it a lot and feel that it works for a boys room.
Anyway, thanks y’all for visiting and for the support. It was a fun adventure and definitely a challenge for me to get here. I’m glad I did it and I’m even happier for Channing to have his big boy room! Go check out the others and a big thanks to Calling it Home for a wonderful creation!
Happy Thursday friends!

Man you make Target look good! Love this room- simple and full of sweet touches. I would totally take that other nightstand off your hands if I was closer. Where I would put it- who knows? But it’s such a great piece!

Sarah Sofia Knepp
Krystine, you NAILED it my friend! The scrable like letters above the bed is what I love best about this room and the grey colored 4 poster bed! I agree, grey is perfect for a boys room and no one would have been the wiser if you hadn’t shared the secret about the cracks. SCORE on the turtle shell that reminds me of Worlds Away! I’ve started following the vendor on IG and will have to check them out the next time I’m in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant. SCORE on the bedding! Hoping I can finalize the new bedding and full bed for Sofia by March and you’ve given me the push I needed. I know Channing will absolutely love his new room that his mama worked so hard on! I’m right there with you, we’ve had potty training duty with both girls, colds, and two 3 days of cloudy skies that didn’t allow me the chance to take the best photos, but yours turned out great! XOXO
Krystine
Thank you Sarah!!! You should they have GREAT stuff!! Hope to see you soon, come visit!

Green took away from the bright and simple, it overpowered. It was a struggle, but I think this piece in the end is the winner! Bravo to you friend as well!!

Krystine- you may have been scrambling to get this last post up, but the final reveal shows only a well thought out, modern and playful end result. Your little guy must be so thrilled to call this room his! I think the bed was meant to be gray. It’s a show stopper. What a score at hobby lobby with those animals! They are even similar to the black elephant on the desk, no? Congrats on completing another ORC and to a job well done!
