DIY – Gold Starfish Coastal Art
So, this will be my last post – for now – of my out of control weekend with the gold spray paint. I wanted to create some fun items for my booth. I probably have not mentioned to y’all, but I have a small retail space here in Mount Pleasant at Southern Accents. I sell furniture, accessories and decor. They are things that I make, reupholster, paint or buy from my vendors. It keeps me busy!
Moving on! I decided to create a little coastal art for my buyers because, well, we live on the coast.
I bought these darling little starfish at a local furniture store in town. I almost got the sea urchins, but I wanted to conquer one at a time, so I started with these.
Then, I began the spraying process using my favorite gold spray paint, Krylon Metallic gold.
They sat to dry.
Then, I bought a shadow box. I cut out the circles to put on the glass so that I could display my starfish the way I wanted.
Next up, I cut the circles and taped them to the glass of the shadowbox.
It was time to spray the glass white.
I used a glue gun to secure the starfish to the back of the shadowbox (sorry, I forgot take that pic.) It was finally finished and ready to be hung!
I cannot wait to put this in my booth! Hope y’all have a great week! I’m heading to the Haven Conference in Atlanta to learn more and meet some of my favorite bloggers. I cannot wait to share some of my moments with you! If you want to see what’s going on, make sure you follow me on Instagram!
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
