Creating Two Bathrooms from One: Before & After of Second Bathroom Reveal
I’m excited to show you the second part of the reveal! This was a little bit of a process, lots of demo, sheet rock dust… ya know, a renovation. Even though I remember moaning and groaning about the process, now looking back I can’t really remember it that well. Funny how that happens right?
So, here’s where we started.
I know what y’all are thinking… that’s VINTAGE, is she nuts?!!? Ha, hope you aren’t thinking that. It was bad, right?
Then we moved to the fun part, and demo came into play.
And to remind y’all we actually made two bathrooms out of one. Here’s the post of the powder room we created when we re-arranged this space.
Ok, so back to this bathroom. I knew I had my heart set on a curved vanity or a demi lune shape. For this space I really wanted something different. So, after hours of Internet searching I found this one! The Montage 48″ white vanity. It came with a countertop, sink and faucet, done! Well, not exactly.
Two problems, however. I did not want a white vanity, and I did not like the hardware. So, I sent it off to my cabinet guy to have it painted. It came back & I was so pleased! The paint color is Storm Gray (not sure who makes it, he had it & I picked it). I ordered the round pulls hardware from ATG.
The next big purchase was my lights. I have been obsessed with these lights for about three years now. I knew I wanted to use them in a project; I just didn’t know which project. I went to the annual Quoizel sale here in the Charleston area and almost had a total crazy lady moment when I found one light on clearance for $10. I scoured the warehouse for it’s mate with no success. So, I had to go online and buy the match to the Quoizel Upton Theatre Light. I did search everywhere for a promo code and got it for less. I really could not have been happier.
Next up was the mirror. And y’all I just could not pull the trigger on this mirror. I waited for the sale, but the shipping killed the deal for me. Then, FINALLY, a good sale came around and I purchased it from Wisteria!
I needed a pop of color with all this black, white and gray. So, of course I called my sweet friend Anna King to see what she had hiding at her studio. I was over the moon to see these two beautiful pieces. (PS- she’s about to start doing some serious painting, so get ready to buy them before they sell out!)
The blue art was another super score when it was on sale at World Market I needed a large piece to go on this wall, and it fit the bill!
Finally, the accessories. The giraffe square plate is perfect for my jewelry.
The hammered stool was another great find from Homegoods.
Of course, I cannot forget to mention the shower and the floor tile. The floor tile & the shower tile are both from Home Depot. The original bathroom had the moroccan tile, and I hated that it was in such bad condition. I didn’t venture off to do anything crazy. I brought it back, but this time used gray grout vs. white.
And I cannot say enough about our Delta Faucet. I LOVE it!! You can set the temp and never worry about it again, sold!
It was a lot of work, but in the end I could not be happier. My guests now have a private bathroom when they visit. Well, they will after we move into our master bedroom once it’s complete!!! For now, we have a new bathroom to enjoy!
Happy Tuesday friends. Thanks for coming by!

Just as amazing in pictures as it is in person. I was a fan of the original Moroccan tile, and I’m so glad you paid homage to it with the new tile. And those lights. Oh those lights. Ten dollars?! You amaze me.

Ha thank you! You and I can go in November to the next sale!

You must be loving that new bathroom – such great choices for all of your finishes! In our current home, our guest room has its own bath and it’s something that I think guests really appreciate. Looks great Krystine!
