From my Kitchen to Yours – Shrimp Provençal
Happy Monday friends!! I hope you had a great weekend. We certainly did despite all the rain. I wanted to share a delicious and quick recipe that we made on Friday night. Ryan, my husband, texted me in route from Miami and asked if I would get shrimp. I texted back laughing saying just left the store and actually just bought some. He sent me the following recipe, and ironically, I had just bought half of the ingredients as well. So, when he finally got home he showed me that he actually found the recipe in Charleston Magazine. It's quick and easy
Friday Favorites: Creekside Interiors of Mount Pleasant
I was driving down Coleman Boulevard in Mt. Pleasant one day and slammed on the brakes when I saw that one of the old banks was turned into a home decor store? Whaaaaaaat? You know I stopped and checked it out. That's how I discovered Creekside Interiors. How would I describe it? Simple
Meet Laurie Cooper of Charleston Revisions
I am super excited to introduce my first guest on my new series, "Guess who's dropping in for coffee?" Meet Laurie Cooper of Charleston Revisions. She owns my favorite mid-century store in Charleston. Laurie always introduced me to people as her "first customer". It makes us chuckle when we share our story. I found Laurie when I discovered Annie Sloan Chalk paint in a store in Greenville, SC. I asked the owner if it was carried in Charleston, and she said someone was going to start selling it soon; here's her number. So, I called, and she and I

Yikes! I simply lust over these beauties at these prices! I need a bigger house, or better yet, I just need more home decorating projects that require rugs because I would have a field day buying all of these! :) Can I decorate your home with one of these awesome finds? Available Now: 1440 E East Crossing, Mount Pleasant, SC
Now featuring 1440 E East Crossing off Rifle Range Road in Mt. Pleasant. With nearly 2,000 sqft, it is one of the larger homes in the neighborhood. The double porches are truly charming, and this home has fantastic curb appeal. What I love most about this property is the open floor plan; there is no need to knock down any walls. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, it also has an extra "bonus" room (a.k.a. the Man's Cave). I also enjoy the colors chosen by the homeowners for the walls and cabinetry. It just looks so fresh and inviting. Priced nicely
One Room Challenge the Reveal – week 6
This is such a surreal moment for me. I really cannot believe I'm finished and am no longer going to write weekly posts about my guest bedroom. It's bittersweet! I'm so glad I stumbled across this challenge and thank you to Linda at Calling it Home for creating such a a great event! Well, here you can see where it all started, week 1-5. But enough for the delay, here it is, drumroll please
Porchin’ it – the outdoor sofa
I don't know about y'all but my porch is begging for me to give it a good pressure washing so that we can enjoy family time on it again. I can't believe I'm about to tell you what I did, but I am. We sold our custom sectional. Yes, as in the one below. Last spring my husband decided to give our porch a major cleaning and removed all the furniture outside. He left it in the rain and it took the paint off and messed up the sectional. So, this spring, he was about to do the same
Friday Favorites: Furbish Studio Pop-Up Shop
Charleston has arrived! Well, I think it already has a bright star on the map, but the Furbish Studio pop-up shop only added to its glamour. I.am.in.love!!!!!! Y'all, I wanted to buy everything in this store. I'm attending The Southern C Summit (which is phenomenal, BTW), and I ran into this shop
One Room Challenge Week 5
Stop. Breathe. Only one more week to go! My heart is starting to beat so quickly!! Entering the One Room Challenge has been one of the most stressful yet rewarding experiences I've encountered as a designer, and I am SOOOOOOO going to do it again! Thanks for the deadline
