One Room Challenge Linking Participant – Week 2
Welcome back, y’all! That was a super quick week, which makes me nervous because I bet the next four will fly… and, there’s so much to be done!
To recap, I am giving my guest bedroom a makeover. You can see week one here. The timing of the “One Room Challenge” was perfect since we are adding a bathroom to the guest bedroom we needed it to be done next.
So, on my to-do list:
1. Headboard
2. Nightstand
3. Rug
4. Dresser
5. Curtains
6. Bedding
7. Seating
8. Pillows
9. Accessories
10. Art
11. Lighting
12. Paint or Wallpaper
Let’s face it; I am a procrastinator. I like to wait until the last minute and stress myself out. The rest of my progress may be slow as I work better under serious pressure!!
Anyway, here are some updates I’ve made:
I was relieved and excited to find this at my Home Goods! It was a bargain, and it feels fabulous!
I was looking for an original unpainted Campaign dresser, which are SUPER hard to find. Once I saw this, I had to grab it. It was already painted – I mean super nicely painted – and I thought I could have fun with blue!
I like the scale of this table, the color and the fact it has drawers. Not sure if it’s the one, but it will stay for now.
I found this chair at an estate sale then scored the fabric on clearance and had it upholstered. It was in my home booth, but I took it out to see if it worked in this room. I’m still not sure if it will stay permanently.
Finally, the pillows in the front were another clearance buy. The Euro Sham’s were custom made from a remnant fabric purchase.
I think I’ve got the black and white covered. Now, I need to find the color inspiration. Stay tuned as I change and continue changing this room until it works just right!
