A Rustic Nursery Design on a Budget
I am VERY excited to be doing a nursery for someone else rather than myself! This will be my first nursery to add to my portfolio! The client wanted navy, gray and white. So, we started down that path. Then, in the middle of discussing it, she decided white and rustic. I had some ideas in my head, but like always, I perused my Pinterest board to get more inspiration.
Before I show you what I’m thinking about putting together, let’s start with the before shots of this bedroom. Oh, and did I mention she already has some pieces, so I will need to incorporate those into my design as well.
So, this is my first stab at it. I’m sure I will make plenty of last minute changes. This is what I’m bringing into the home, and some will probably be removed as well!
Some things I may DIY, others will be local store and Home Goods finds. I love the large animal art right now. I’m dying to put an image of a horse or something in someone’s home.
The dresser is a little darker than I wanted, but it’s a good fall-back in case I can’t find something.
They are painting their crib white with safe non-toxic paint. The paint color I selected was Sherwin Williams First Star.
And, I have to share with y’all what I think are my top must haves as parents. These items were my favorite! (clicking on the images will take you directly to the products.)
I can’t wait to show you more updates as I get to work more on this!
Thanks for coming by friends, and happy Wednesday!
